The beautiful Tyrolean Haflinger young mares make their grand entrance at this event at the Fohlenhof in Ebbs. There are a total of three studbook entries in Tyrol - including Braz, Imst and Ebbs. In previous years, there was a close and exciting neck-and-neck race for the mares. The high quality in the Tyrolean breeding region will once again be evident at all of the breeding centres.

New: Adaptation of the evaluation system to half scores - conformation evaluation according to the total score system.

As stated in the current breeding program of the Haflinger Horse Breeding Association Tyrol (valid since 01.01.2021) under point 8.1.1, half scores can also be awarded for the assessment of the characteristic “external appearance” for better differentiation. The overall score is calculated from the arithmetic mean of the individual characteristics and is rounded to two decimal places for mares and stallions.
This system has been used for stallion gradings for decades and has also been implemented for mares since this year. The changeover to half scores not only serves to differentiate objectively and benefits the mares assessed (increase in the average overall score by around three tenths of a point), but also offers enormous added value for any statistical evaluation
